  • New: You can now easily add yarn care instructions (e.g. machine wash cold, do not iron) to your stashed yarns.
  • New: You can now search and contribute to a crowdsourced database of yarns. Tap the plus (+) to add a new yarn and use the search field at the top to see if your brand and colorway is in the database. New yarns will be added on a regular basis. At this time, a number of popular North American companies can be found, with more international brands on the way.
  • New: iOS 16 users with supported devices can scan yarn label barcodes to see if there is a match in the database. Supported devices include those containing an A12 bionic chip or later.
  • New: iOS 16 users can now toggle between project counters and notes in the bottom drawer.
  • New: All users (free and pro) can now choose from several accent colors in the App Theme section of Settings. These themes use the default system light and dark colors for most interface elements, but with an accent color for buttons, toggles, and headings.

  • Added: You can now export your projects as PDF files. Tap the share button in the upper right corner of your project’s detail view to generate a PDF. Tap the share button at the bottom of the preview (or top, on iPad) to choose whether or print it, save it, or share it using another app.
  • Improved: Image optimization! Photos should load faster and take up less memory when viewed.
  • Improved: Your project’s key photo will be shown at the top of its detail page. All other photos have been moved to a new Photos section below the Patterns section. From there, you can add new photos, drag photos to rearrange them, or tap on a photo to view it in a full screen gallery view.
  • Improved: You can now re-order your counters by tapping on the icon with three horizontal lines in the top right of the counter drawer.
  • Fixed: A bug that prevented user-created tools from being added to projects.
